Practice the skills and techniques from the Feb 7 program out in the field.
Where we’ll go: We’ll aim to be at our first stop at Bill Evans Lake at 8 am to look for waterfowl, herons, or a Bald Eagle. We’ll then proceed on to Nature Conservancy’s Gila River Farm (aka the Lichty Center) with a variety of habitats. Depending on how much activity we have and if time allows, we will make one last stop at Iron Bridge, which spans the Gila River and offers an elevated view of riparian vegetation.
Leaving from Silver City? Carpoolers can meet under the solar panels at WNMU and leave by 7:30 am sharp.
If not carpooling, meet at Bill Evans Lake at 8 am. We will leave our last location around 10:30am.
