PROGRAM - A Proposal: Long-Term Monitoring of Significant Local Bird Conservation Areas

  • WNMU Harlan Hall 12th and Alabama Silver City, NM, 88061 United States (map)

Presenters Bill Norris, Devyn Scot, and Madi Vasquez will outline a proposal to conduct monthly bird surveys of a small number of significant local bird conservation areas (e.g., Bear Mountain Lodge, Cherry Creek, City of Rocks State Park, Mangas Springs, San Vicente Creek) using standard bird census protocol. These data will contribute to our knowledge of long-term trends in bird populations. Input from Bird Alliance members at this meeting will be incorporated into the final project design. Please come and learn how you can be a part of a citizen science effort!
