Program: Owls of the Gila Region

  • WNMU Harlan Hall, Room 111 12th St and Alabama St Silver City, NM United States (map)

Although owls are infrequently seen, their nighttime hoots and caterwauls have sent chills up and down the spines of most local birders. Their adaptations to “night life” – acute hearing and vision, silent flight - are fascinating, as is their breeding behavior that has dispensed with nest building. Join Maria Conklin, Yziah Jimenez, Devyn Scott, Madi Vasquez and William (Bill) Norris to learn more.
