The Big Sit is a light-hearted international competition with a goal of identifying as many birds as we can from a 17- foot diameter circle. The Iron Bridge across the Gila River is the perfect vantage point to view species up and down the river. This event is low- mobility accessible, and binoculars are available to borrow. The event will run from 8am - noon. Come anytime and stay as long as you like!

Directions: Take US-180 W, 25 mi west of Silver City. Turn south onto Iron Bridge Road (just past the Gila River) for 1⁄2 mile. Park in the dirt pull-off on the road leading to the bridge. Limited parking; ride-sharing encouraged!
