The 65th annual Silver City Christmas Bird Count will take place Saturday, December 19th followed by our annual potluck. Any and all birding skill levels are encouraged to participate!

Emails went out to previous participants in October; if you wish to participate in the 2026 count and you did not receive an email, please contact John Gorey.

Doors for the potluck open at 4:30pm and the potluck begins at 5:00pm. Bring a dish, drink, or dessert if possible. There will be some catered food / drink. The potluck location will be emailed to registered CBC participants once the location is confirmed.

The annual feeder count will take place December 18-20. If you live in the Silver City area, the feeder count is a great way to participate if you cannot make it out to help with the routes or you wish to bird from your home. Please contact John Gorey for more details.
