The Winter Raptor Survey is organized by the Hawk Migration Association to better understand the numbers and needs of raptors who winter in North America. The survey is done by vehicle with standardized routes that can be over 100 miles in length. This year the survey will take place during MLK Jr weekend on January 16-18. Each survey can be done on any one of the 3 days.

There are 9 survey routes, and while many have dedicated drivers and helpers, there are often spaces for additional participants. If interested in being included in this survey, please contact Linda Moore by December 21st.
