Conservation Updates

Cliff Swallow Monitoring

We’ve been working with the Upper Gila Watershed Alliance and the Grant County Commission to monitor a new Cliff Swallow nesting site. Led by Carol Ann Fugagli, who has been monitoring sites at WNMU for several years, we will maintain the area until the birds leave in late summer.

Gila National Forest Collaboration

We’re in talks with Gila National Forest staff, looking at ways we can work together on projects and protection in the forest. More on this soon!

Bird-Friendly Windows

Our Bird-Friendly Windows efforts continue with a couple more workshops: Bayard Public Library on August 22 and a WILL course on September 10. Please see our Events page for more information.
