Good news for state waters!

Senate Bill SB 21 and SB 22 are now law! These companion laws empower the New Mexico Environment Department to protect New Mexico waters from existing and future pollution. Specifically, they provide state level protection for waters (formerly protected under the Clean Water Act) and the pollution prevention permitting process (formerly done by the Environmental Protection Agency).
