New! Town of Silver City Birding Guide

Thanks to a grant from New Mexico's Outdoor Recreation Division, Silver City residents and visitors will soon be able to access handy-dandy pocket-sized full-color brochures of birding hotspots in and around town. The project was the brainchild of Amy McLane of the town's Trails and Open Space Advisory Committee, with content from Bird Alliance SWNM Board members Jackie Blurton, Heidi Erstad, and Will Mora; images by area bird photographers Paul Granone, Jeff Johnson, Elroy Limmer, and Dave McDonald; maps by Assistant Town Manager Jacqui Olea; layout by local graphic designer Sophie Klaus.

Similar brochures were developed by Ms. McLane and Ms. Olea for Silver City Trails & Open Spaces and Parks & Recreation facilities. All brochures will be available around town in the near future. Also watch for wayfinding signs at local trailheads. Kudos to all involved for bringing this great new resource to Silver!
