Project FeederWatch: Nov - April

Hosted by Cornell Lab of Ornithology, FeederWatch is a November-April survey of birds that visit backyards, nature centers, community areas, and other locales in North America. The schedule is flexible: you can count every week or once all winter, for as much or little time as you like. Data from this project helps scientists measure changes in the winter ranges and abundances of bird species over time.

For an $18 participation fee, you'll receive:

  • Full access to the Project FeederWatch website and mobile app for this season, including tools to track birds over time

  • A double-sided poster of eastern and western common feeder birds (optional)

  • A calendar (optional)

  • Digital access to Living Bird, Cornell Lab's magazine

  • News and results reported annually in Winter Bird Highlights
